Allies & Organizations:

The Harpers. As a renowned alumnus of the College of Fochlucan, Mirwen has been successful as a traveling performer, and has taken up residence everywhere from Silverymoon to Neverwinter to Waterdeep. She collects more than just fame, admirers, and gold; everwhere she goes, she picks up on secrets and rumors for the Harpers. For reasons unknown, her husband (a moon elf bladesinger named Balarathion) left the faction and joined its minority subfaction, the Moonstars. He then shortly disappeared entirely, leaving Mirwen to raise their 27-year-old offspring, Brim, on her own. At the behest of Brim, who needed little attention and wanted nothing but independence, she left Waterdeep on a pilgrimage to the High Forest, where she lived and meditated for ten years. Upon leaving the forest, she decided to play for a tavern audience, which is where she met the human father of her second child, Luna, who ended up living with her father on a sailing ship, eventually making her way back into contact with Brim as an adventuring Harper.

Personality Traits

  • I connect everything that happens to me to a cosmic plan.
  • Whenever I come to a new place, I collect local rumors and spread gossip.

  • “I like seeing the smiles on people’s faces when I perform. That’s all that matters.”
  • Mirwen is in alignment with the goals and the ideals of the beneficent Harpers faction.

  • First my only daughter was drowned, then my only son was burned. I will stop at nothing to make sure that they are remembered for the heroes which they were.

  • “I’m a sucker for a pretty face.”

image.jpeg Fochlucan Bandura

  • Name of this instrument is mispelled in the DMG — a common mistake, seeing as the bandore is also a classical stringed instrument
  • Uncommon magical item (requires attunement)
  • Causes 2d4 psychic damage to anyone but its owner if they try to play it
  • Made especially for elvenkind, weighs half that of a bandura of ordinary materials
  • Whispers warnings to its owner, granting a +2 bonus to its owner’s Initiative score
  • Can cast the following spells once per day: Entangle, Faerie Fire, Fly, Invisibility, Levitate, Shillelagh, Speak with Animals

Wife of the late Balarathion Isilienthir, of the Moonstars; mother of the late Brim Isilienthir and Luna (Lharast) Cipher, of the Harpers.
